Assessment Flip ChartÂ
Project Overview:
This Assessment Flip Chart was developed as part of a leadership training initiative for administrators at The Tutoring Club of Saint Johns. The tool consolidated 11 fragmented SOPs into a streamlined, user-friendly resource designed to ensure consistent and accurate assessments.
Challenge:
Outdated and fragmented assessment procedures led to frequent errors, sales bottlenecks, and incorrect student placements, resulting in customer dissatisfaction and higher refund rates. New administrators, in particular, found it difficult to navigate the siloed SOPs, which led to inaccurate assessments and ineffective curriculum placements.
Solution:
To address these issues, the flip chart was created as a supplement to asynchronous eLearning modules within the LMS. It provided a simplified checklist and step-by-step guide for different assessment types across grade levels, organized by easy-to-navigate tabs. This helped facilitate hands-on assessment training. After months of testing and refinement, it became the go-to resource for aligning assessment processes with updated standards and enhancing efficiency.
Results and Impact:
The flip chart greatly improved the accuracy of assessments, reduced wait times for parents, and resulted in more accurate student placements. This, in turn, boosted sales by streamlining the sales processes, reducing refund rates, and empowering more staff to conduct assessments. By enhancing training and expanding administrative capacity, the tool improved overall organizational performance.

Active Listening Job Aid
Project Overview:
This Motivational Interviewing Job Aid was developed for the Tutoring Club of Saint Johns to support the ongoing development of new and existing tutors.
Challenge:
Tutors struggled to effectively guide students through motivational conversations due to limited resources and structured guidance, resulting in lower goal achievement and parent dissatisfaction.
Solution:
To reinforce training, a job aid featuring the OARS framework (Open Questions, Affirmations, Reflective Listening, Summarizing) was created. Placed at each tutor station, it offered practical prompts and sentence stems to help tutors apply these techniques during sessions.
Results and Impact:
Pilot testing showed improved tutor-student interactions, faster onboarding, and increased customer satisfaction, leading to more positive tutoring outcomes.
